Poöf vs The Cursed Kitty

Poöf vs The Cursed Kitty is a fast platform game played in a small environment with elements similar to Super Crate Box. A twisted wizard has offered the dungeon keeping dog Poöf a poisonous gift: a kitten that lays golden eggs. The game contains a single level that is meant to be replayed multiple times. The goal is to survive as long as possible and reach a high score, unlocking new game elements along the way. The kitten is tied up near the bottom of the screen above a pipe. Different types of creatures appear from four directions and attempt to reach the kitty. When they achieve that, the game is immediately over. Poöf can defeat them by jumping on top of them. After a certain amount of time the kitten lays a golden egg that appears on a higher platform. When it is picked up all enemies are immediately cleared from the screen.

Poöf can move around and jump. By keeping the jump button pressed a higher jump can be achieved and by pressing down while in the air a fast rolling attack is performed. By pressing a button time can be slowed down for a short amount of time, but less points are provided. Defeated enemies leave behind gems that can be picked up for points and multiple kills combined in combos are also rewarded. The game is divided in missions with sets of three objectives. When the objectives are achieved a token is provided to unlock a new game element, such as more rewards, weapons and power-ups. Power-ups spawn in the level and these include hearts for health, arrow shots, a piercing sword attack, ice that freezes all enemies on the screen, bombs and a sawblade. Multiple power-ups can be stacked to use them at a later time. There is also an element of tower defense gameplay as turret power-ups can be used to construct them on parts of the platforms highlighted in green. In addition power-ups can be converted into yellow pieces of poo that slow down enemies.

Next to the main missions a separate score is kept over the games to unlock ten aesthetic elements such as new backgrounds, music and costumes for Poöf and Kitty. There are twelve types of enemies in total, including flies, ogres, dragons, knights and slug dogs.
