After being awoken by your telephone, you have been summoned to meet someone to receive a mission reluctantly, seeing as you are called 'The Exterminator'. Atomic testing, 20 years ago, on a small South Sea island may be the cause of a strange dangerous creature roaming the island and you have to destroy it. On the island you will encounter various animals while searching for objects to help you in your mission. Mutant is a a text adventure that has text on screen that describes your location. You type in commands with the keyboard to interact with your surroundings.
