Claymation Magic Rated G for Kids

The Good
Colorful Clay World and one of the better soundtracks for a game from the makers of the Neverhood. This is a short game and has some funny moments with bug like US presidential creatures. It almost feels like you are playing the deleted scenes left out of the Neverhood. Many of the items you will need to advance in the game are just laying on the floor in places. Only as you are nearing the end of the game do you learn the story about what happened to the fortress as you are left confused hearing a strange language.

The Bad
Not understanding that Beak Beak can fly, see invisible things and enter tunnels is confusing. Tommynaut and Beak Beak could communicate more but the creators were sloppy/lazy and the game play leaves you in dead silence. Oh and Beak Beak gets vaporized (speaking of dead) . The motion climbing over objects is impossible and there are several game ending bugs so save the game often. You frequently have to solve door entry puzzles more than once. You may also want to adjust the play options when operating the buggy so you don't keep going back and forth. There are many dead ends that you can spend hours trying to find a solution that is not possible until the end of the game.

The Bottom Line
This is a very short story about a crash landing in a world ruled by the evil Vougnaut who you don't see much for during the game. Holograms of a family give you weak and cryptic clues as to what happened to the fortress. You solve easy puzzles in order to rescue a baby and fight with the villain over its powers. Since the story tellers don't disclose the goal of what you should be doing in the game, there is little motivation to push on without seeking help from a walkthrough. There is a fun world to wander around and explore in the meantime and the ending is not a complete happy ending.
