Action Replay

This is one of the three Xbox games that, with the help of Action Replay, can hack into an unmodified Xbox. The other two being Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell and 007: Agent Under Fire.

DLC

According to the German magazine PC Games 02/2012, Mech Assault was the first game which used the DLC business model: commercial content updates via download distribution; smaller in price and scope than traditional add-ons. A few years later, almost every bigger game had DLCs available for purchase.
