Pokémon Pikachu 2 GS

Pokémon Pikachu 2 GS is an updated version of the original Pokémon Pikachu pedometer and virtual pet. Players are given a pet Pikachu, and must walk to build up a currency called watts. Once enough watts have been earned, the player may give them to Pikachu to increase its happiness. Watts may also be earned from a guessing minigame. If the player does not walk at least 100 steps in a day, Pikachu will become less friendly towards the player. The device contains a real-time clock, and Pikachu operates on a daily schedule that includes eating, bathing, and sleeping.

The device has an infrared port, through which it can communicate with Pokémon Gold, Silver, and Crystal versions via their Mystery Gift feature. The player may choose a number of watts to send, which will turn into a rare item for the receiving game. Watts may also be sent to another Pokémon Pikachu 2 GS device.
