Chiller
- Chiller (1984 on Commodore 64, 1985 on ZX Spectrum, MSX)
Description official description
Chiller is a first person shooter for one or two players. Back in the middle ages a castle on the outskirts of town has been invaded by an evil force which is causing the dead to come back to life! You need to stop this force before it can create a large army and take over the town. As you make your way to and eventually inside the castle, numerous dead creatures will be trying to stop you. Each level has a monster counter, and you need to shoot this many monsters before the timer runs out to continue on. Each level also has 8 talismans hidden in it; you need to find and destroy these to stop the monsters from appearing. If you complete a level without destroying all of the talismans, you will need to return to the level later on. There are 32 talismans in all that need to be destroyed in order to rid the town of the monsters!

Trivia
Version differences
Due to the gory gameplay, the original 1986 arcade game was banned in the UK. The unlicensed NES version was self-censored in the following ways: you can't shoot off the clothes of the girl in the graveyard, or shoot chunks of flesh off people in the Rack Room level (plus many of the body parts on the floor were removed), and the monk pushing a cart full of body parts was replaced by a nun pushing a baby carriage (though you can still shoot the nun).
