Power Play (Mar, 1989)
“Times of Lore“ bietet eine reizvolle Mischung aus Action, Abenteuer und Rollenspiel. Es ist leicht zu bedienen und verspricht mit seinem umfangreichen Spielfeld viele knifflige Stunden.
Scrolling - still jerky - is fast, so your character goes about his quest at a fair old pace. The graphics are neat and colourful, with reasonable detail - it looks very similar to the Commodore 64 original, and plays just as well.
Was des Profis Leid, ist des Einsteigers Freud': Times of Lore ist angenehm einfach zu handhaben und auch nicht allzu schwer zu lösen; bietet jedoch immer noch genug Komplexität (Nachts sind z.B. die viel grimmigeren Monster unterwegs...) und Umfang, um nicht so schnell langweilig zu werden. Bemerkenswerterweise ist die 64er Urversion die grafisch (und soundmäßig) am besten gelungene, bei allen anderen geht's um einiges langsamer und ruckeliger zu.
