.hack//Outbreak: Part 3
Description official description
This is a direct sequel to the first two hack games. The story of the hack series evolves around young people playing a massive multiplayer online RPG, called "The World". Some player characters in The World are mysteriously falling comatose - your main character Kite has to investigate the matter, aided by companions he meets on his trip through the virtual world.
Like the first two hack games, this is an action RPG - essentially a dungeon crawler. You can pause at any time during the battle to issue commands (such as using items). In "Outbreak", you and your opponents start at around level 50 and can reach level 70. You can also import a saved game from the previous game, .hack//MUTATION.

The Good
The third installment of the .hack series doesn't bring anything new to the table, but sometimes that can be a good thing. An above-average dungeon crawler with a decent balance of physical and magic attacks with a think-on-you-feet gameplay element. Also, the one thing the Japanese know about is character development and you get really emotional involved with these characters,
The Bad
On the other side of the coin, not changing is very lazy of the developers. Barely any new songs is somewhat stale and is better to put on your music and mute the game excluding the dialogue between characters. No new level designs also make it unimaginative and boring to a degree.
The Bottom Line
The only things holding this series together is the gameplay and story/character development. Fans emotional involved with the series are the only ones at this point who will buy it.
