A bloody, fast, fun mix of hockey/laccrosse.

The Good
The thing I liked the most about this game is how much fun it can be for a nice quick game. The action is fast. The graphics were very good for the time. The variety of domes make it interesting. If you ignore the backstory of how the sport "evolved" and just enjoy it as a superviolent, super fact hockey/lacrosse mix, you can have fun with it.

The Bad
The idea of teams is not flushed out well. Each team as 4 players (+goalie which you never control), all the players stats, have the characteristics of that team such as fast, or tough. This idea could have been carried farther though. There are no trades, you can't make your own players. You also can't play a season. You can only play a gaunlet trying to beat all the teams for a trophy. The game is also rather violent. You get more points for scoring with an oppenents servered head. That was a little too much for me.

The Bottom Line
I would compare this game to a snack. Many games such as, SimCity, Diablo, etc, are a full course meal, but sometimes all you want is a little snack. Hyperblade is a great action/sport snack. You get in play a game which takes 15 minutes and then get back to the work you really need to do. The action is fast. The gameplay is light. It's fun if you don't take it too seriously. I have not played multiplayer, I tried once, but I couldn't get it to work. This game is a good example of the whole genre of super violent, futuristic sports.

very pumped up, futuristic version of hockey.

The Good
i liked the ammount of action and the many different techniques you can use.

The Bad
i didn't like how completel mean the goalies were. if you just slowed down within the vicinity of one of those, they would attack you and not stop. and you couldn't injure them!

The Bottom Line
very pumped up, futuristic game of hockey.
