Hilarant, déconcertant, farfelu, mais aussi magnifiquement écrit, réjouissant, agréable à l’œil comme à l’oreille et profondément addictif, The Secret of Monkey Island mérite largement son statut de jeu culte. Alliant parfaitement le challenge, l’aventure et le fun le plus total, les mésaventures de Guybrush sont un vrai délice pour les amateurs de jeux point and click… et les autres. Un chef-d’œuvre incontournable !

Overall, I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys LucasArts games, or for that matter, anyone who has never played a LucasArts game. I know some folks take their gaming pretty seriously and play only serious games—they probably don't like LucasArts games much—but I say gaming is supposed to be fun, and this is a fun game.
