Description
As Alan Mason, a Marine Corps sergeant, you are sent behind the enemy lines, but the raid turns to a total warfare. You are to fight your way through the jungle, with weapons like M16, M60, M79 and LAW. The missions categorize from urban gun battles, through sneaking in the thick jungles to the man-made tunnels under the ground.
The battlefield is made lively with things like various air-strikes, anti-personnel mines, fire-fights, ambushes, snipers and tanks. There are even your fellow soldiers for you to fight with, giving you a feel that you we're really in a war, not a game.
You can challenge your friends in a multiplayer battle in total of 19 multiplayer levels with different game modes like Gruntmatch, Capture-the-flag and Fireteam, where each of you are allowed to select a soldier type and are sent to a different kinds of missions for you to fight.

Trivia
According to
Matt Saettler and
Lisa Sheets, Napalm was the original name for the game. It was changed to "Nam" at the request of the Wal-Mart chain of stores.
