Farzad Varahramyan's career as a video game designer has resulted in numerous awards and a reputation for innovation.

Before joining Sammy Studios, Farzad served as the Senior Production Designer at Oddworld Inhabitants, where he worked closely with Lorne Lanning in creating the Oddworld universe. Farzad and Lorne's design work was recognized at the 2002 Game Developers Conference (GDC) Awards, with a nomination in the "Excellence in Visual Arts" category.

Prior to Oddworld, Farzad was at Kronos Digital Entertainment Inc., working as lead visual designer for games Criticom, Meat Puppet, and Wet Corpse. His experience previous to Kronos includes work as a conceptual designer for Amalgamated Dynamics, where he created creature designs for the hit film Jumanji, as well as Stampede Entertainment and Burbank-based Chiodo Brothers.

Farzad has appeared at numerous industry shows and conferences as a speaker and a panel participant, and has been quoted in various international magazines and web articles on production design and methodology. He received his BS in Product Design at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.
