Luc Bernard is an artist who entered the game industry doing the art and most of the game design for Eternity's Child. Following the release of the game in July 2008 he was hit by a heavy backlash when a first review appeared on the site Destructoid. He was a member of the site and even included the site's mascot in the game. Following a 1 out of 10 points review rating he defended the game in the review's comments, but much more criticism was posted in response, to the point that the review and the comments became a topic on major games sites.
Following the response he posted on his blog that he felt disappointed with the game industry and after the second and third chapter of the game and the WiiWare release, he would no longer make games.
"I thought the videogame industry was different, but no it's actually harder and worse than any other one, I still wonder why people hate Dennis Dylack (sic) for no reason and Uwe Boll, I don't think if people realize the psychological things it can do to people. People love to hate for no reason, and well I've got enough problems in my personal life to do another game after Eternity's Child."
Later, he retracted the post when it once again became an item on popular game sites.
The new chapters and the Wii version never came around and he founded the game development studio Oyaji Games LLC to work on iPhone titles, based on the same universe. Oyagi's first game Mecho Wars was released in June 2009.
