Richard Lord is an animator and artist known for his work at Valve. He designed the appearance of Wheatley in Portal 2 and provided temporary voice work for the character before Stephen Merchant was cast as his final voice. Lord joined Valve in September 2006 and left in February 2017 to go freelance, but announced in March 2024 that he would be rejoining Valve that month.
