MileStone was an independent developer based in the Suginami ward of Tokyo, Japan. Established in April 2003 by a group of former Compile staff, they were perhaps best known for their scrolling shooters, but have also made contributions to Compile's Puyo Puyo series. The company's director is former Compile staffer Hiroshi Kimura. As of October 2006, they employed 16 people, and they also had an affiliate company in Vietnam called Milestone Vietnam.

MileStone closed in 2012.
