Biography edit · view history

John Dean started by developing modifications for the Quake3 engine.

His first release was "Fritz Bot" - an A.I. mod that played the multiplayer portion of the game RTCW. This project was ported over to the sequel to RTCW - Wolf: Enemy Territory and became "Fritz Bot: ET".

This caught the attention of id software ( then working on Enemy Territory Quake Wars in partnership with Splash Damage Software ). John signed on with id late in the project, and began work on A.I. bots for ETQW. After the PC version of the game shipped, John assisted Nerve Software in the port of ETQW to the Xbox 360.

John is now working on an undisclosed project for id software.
