Ryōichi Ōkubo (大久保 良一) was a programmer and game designer. He started his career at Namco in the mid-1980s, left to join Tengen in 1988, and finally established his own company Tomcat System in March 1991 which he ran until his death in December 2016.

Was the brother of Takane Ohkubo, with whom he regularly collaborated.
