Jani Mäkinen is a Finnish game programmer from Helsinki that entered the industry in January 2011 after working in traditional software industry for a few years. From the start of 2011 he worked at Bugbear Entertainment. Then in late 2014 he joined Frozenbyte and worked on Trine 3: The Artifacts Of Power as well as Shadwen. Jani transitioned to mobile game development in 2017 with a location-based game called Moomin Move, but has now moved on towards the traditional software industry as of 2018, currently working at Tieto in Finland. He aims to release games as an indie developer in 2018.
He was born in Jämsä, Finland in 1985. He started University studies in Computer Science, but did not finish them.
