Graduated from Cass Tech High School (Detroit, MI) in Jan 1968 and graduated Lawrence Institute of Technology (Southfield, MI) with an Applied Math B.S. in 1977. In between graduating High School and graduating college, served 3 years, 11 months, 22 days as an avionics electronics tech in the U.S. Air Force.

Since 1977, as an Industrial Grade Realtime Software engineer on the following major projects: Continuous Data Recorder/Editor and on site integrator for ARTS-IIIA; Passive Torpedo Detection implementation; Global Positioning System integration into the Shipboard Inertial Navigation System proposal, Engine Noise Test and Common Data Base Editor for the aircraft certification's Automatic Data Acquisition and Monitoring system; Guidance implementation and integration for Intermediate Upper Stage satellite booster; Receiver communications design, implementation, and integration for Peace Keeper; Fault tolerant implementation and integration for C-17 Mission Computer; Rain sensor software redesign and implementation; Redesign and implementation of RTOS for the Address Label Detector and the Label Detector itself in German mail sorter; Customized sound controller in a a prototype Drum Machine; Customized bus controller in Assembly Line Monitoring System; Incorporation of Planet Code into US Mail sorter; and of course, the Slam Dunk Basket Ball Game porting to DOS.
