If you haven't tried this game it's a cheap purchase from gog.com and it's the only game I know of that lets you Storytell your own games with other players. And that's the most exciting part of the game the ability to have unlimited rollplay in the vampire world of darkness.

Works on Windows 7, and 10 + there's help on the forums below if you run into any issues. Tungle has been popular lately for multiplayer with other players over the internet.

I recommend playing the game with the Age of Redemption mod (lets you play the game in multiplayer solo, or have friends help you play it). FYI, the last release was 2015 and it's still bettering the multiplayer experience with every release.

These links above have help, and additional content players have created over the years to enhance your game playing experience, and additional resources to Storytell your own quests with other players.

I may have to ask: This game is from 2000, and uses Directplay for the LAN multiplayer. So, I still have this problem on 10. After starting a multiplayer game it asks for Directplay but if you don't install it, it crashes.

Are you using the GOG version 1.1? As for more Windows 10 issues, run as administrator, and some people have to run it under compaibity mode for windows 95.

I haven't heard of a Directplay problem maybe try this (http://www.overclock.net/t/1568181/help-installing-directplay-on-windows-10#post_24265863).

This might also be a Directplay fix: Since DirectX 9, DirectPlay is deprecated. On 64-bit systems, older games use the files in the 32-bit emulation layer, located in c:\windows\sysWoW64 (sounds strange, the name means "Windows(32) emulation on Windows(64)"). The problem: these games (or, I presume, the old directplayx.dll in this directory) assumed all windows files to be in c:\windows\system. Since the files above cannot be found, no net connection is possible. Copying the files to the location assumed by the game fixes this issue.

If you need anymore help please post on either the planetvampire forums (forums.planetvampire.com), or e-mods forums (http://e-mods.net/forum/) those guys are the Guru's and know the game inside-out.

For those who have issues trying to run the multiplayer component, try this: 1. get the DirectX runtime library from Microsoft's site and install it 2. Shut your laptop or computer down and turn it on again 3. Run the game and choose multiplayer from the menu 4. Choose LAN 5. Choose your character from the Crypt menu 6. start the game Or, for the old way: Use your old computer that has XP installed.

(Solved) I solved this issue by installing DirectPlay and now the multiplayer component can be ran.
