No vision cones? (Death to Spies)

I made it to mission 3 (the one in the Nazi prison) and the enemies' vision cones are no longer visible on the automap. Is it a bug, or is it supposed to be this way? (I have chosen the Easy difficulty, BTW)

Now I made it to mission 5, and the cones are back. Weird...

EDIT: Wait, I looked at this screenshot, and it doesn't show vision cones for you either, Sciere.

EDIT: Mystery solved: the cones only show up outdoors.
