While this ebay listing says PC DOS, you can clearly see the bottom of the box where it says Windows PC.

The game runs on quicktime, which had no DOS port. Specifically, the readme on the disc states: Paparazzi! requires QuickTime for Windows 2.0.1.41 or higher.

It goes on to give instructions on how to install for Win 3.1 or Win 95.

Another section states: 3) If you are experiencing QuickTime and sound sync problems, try going into DOS and typing CD\WINDOWS. Then type EDIT QTW.INI and press ENTER. Right under the last line of instructions, type: CDROMReqRate=22095 and then directly under that type: CDROMActRate=22536. Save the setting and return to Windows.

I suspect this is yet another game that had MS-DOS added as a compatible platform simply because it is a requirement for Windows 3.x to run. However, it is misleading because the game itself does not function in DOS.

Is there evidence of a different release that did not use quicktime and could function in DOS?

Thanks,

It was a 2001 submission, so no sources or evidence. I've moved over the existing info to Win 3.x and sent back the platform.
