In November 1996 NEC publishes a game in Japan called Obelisk: Project Oscar. In "Beyond Time" the FMV scenes have been reshot with American actors. Looks like the gameplay is more or less the same but there's some story differences between the two. You be the judge - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHDiha6CH1g

Okay, the release info is up. Two things to note:
1) Palmsoft, Inc. is also credited on the 3DO conversion of The Daedalus Encounter (page 10) which is another FMV game so makes sense they're credited on this one as well. But I don't think it's the same company that published "Araha: Curse of Yieun Island" in 2020.
2) There's another company mentioned though - Oscar Promotion Co., Ltd which is a Japanese talent agency - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oscar_Promotion since the Japanese title has the word "Oscar" in it I reckon they played a key role in this one. Just not sure on what to credit them. As far as I can tell the game's manual doesn't have credits in it.
