"Note that having children is an optional choice, thus the player must actively decide whether or not to have children or decide to conduct in an activity that leads to the likelihood that children may be resulted from that action (do we really need to explicitly mention which activity? :p)."

Having the children is mandatory, but the player can choose when and with whom (also how many).

Nah. Mandatory child bearing basically includes every strategy game with a historical or fictional dynasty. And there's a lot.

In this case, having children is how new units are created, so I though it'd still fit the group. You have to make them as units are required, but it has nothing to do with children from strategy games.

Well, there are about two games in the group where having children is semi-mandatory (e.g. can't finish the game without having children), though it's still noticeably optional i.e. you can still choose not to have children or avoid the event.
