Release info says there was a UK release. Is there a source for this? I bought this game relatively early as NTSC-US import, and have never seen anything about an official appearance in Europe, which is consistent with common web sources.

It's very likely an error. There are sites claiming a UK release like IGN.

If there's no physical copies being sold on ebay or amazon uk it most likely doesn't exist.
