Games based on the gameplay of the 1979 arcade game Astro Invader (Kamikaze in Japan). It's a fixed screen shoot 'em up whose main characteristic is that the enemies position themselves in columns before attacking the player. Once a column is full of aliens they start descending towards the player, exploding as they reach the surface.
