The Good
It was based on some of the greatest RPG imaginations from the founding fathers of it all. If you put it in context with the imagination of the board game, it's one of the best computer games of its time. I nearly made it to the end 3 times, and I'm going to try again. (last time). I love to play and replay the individual combats over and over to watch their progression and outcome as they are different each time. Here lies combat and board game strategy that most other games don't possess. It's like how Michael Douglas said in an interview that he never watches movies because he always knows the outcome, but with sports ... you never know. Same goes for this game. The combat is part your strategy and part the roll of the dice ... er I mean the roll of the bits in a byte of memory and where it stops only the imperfections of the processor and it's timing circuits know!

RND !

The Bad
The bugs and the patching were very annoying.

The Bottom Line
It's one of the true ways to experience paper and pencil like RPG playing with out having to invite all of your friends over. I play it to relax, and it works on the weakest and cheapest of lap tops, so you can take it anywhere.
