Quik the Thunder Rabbit

DOS Specs

Description

This platform game has much in common with console games of the era. There are 4 worlds including ice, desert and fields, and have multiple routes through. The bad guys are cutesy. You get past them by spinning at them, although jumping over them is often sufficient. Power-ups on offer include speed ups, energy, food and water (Quik’s thirst and hunger are measured separately). The bonus levels involve jumping through time, by finding the right doors.

Trivia

Amiga versions

There are two versions of the game: ECS/AGA version on floppies and CD32 version on CD. There are two interesting facts considering these two renditions. ECS/AGA version was distributed as one - the game recognises the chipset and accordingly for AGA chipset adjusts the visuals with different backgrounds and more detailed graphics. CD32 version is exactly the same as AGA variant but it has a completely different introduction.
