A devilish interlude that's not all bad

The Good
I actually liked this game. Despite its flaws, the puzzles were challenging enough to keep my interest. And the story, although very unusual, was original and somewhat entertaining.

I couldn't help but remember the old cliche', "The devil made me do it!" There is murder and intrigue, brutality and dishonesty amongst the people who lived and worked in this theme park. But, there are several really nice characters who don't have a bad bone in their bodies, so to speak. The characters are different, to say the least, and their motivations are unlike any other people I have "met" in other games. It is up to you to determine their ultimate fate.

The Bad
You walk around exploring alone in first-person perspective, not necessarily bad but I never really felt I was actually there. As major objectives are accomplished, cut-scenes move the story along as you watch a sort of "walk down memory lane."

I don't know why designers continue to create scenes in adventure games that are so very dark. I know the lights are out, but golly, I just want to see where I'm going. Otherwise, the graphics and music were pretty good.

Obvious bugs in game design that could have been fixed with a patch, but none was done.

The Bottom Line
This is all about how greed and ambition motivate different people in different ways. The devil, Faust, influences those who are inclined to act out their fantasies - good or bad. The story delves into the subconsciousness of some unusual people whose abnormal lives contain some very normal feelings and situations. Should they be saved? You make the decision which decides their destiny - and the ending of the game.
