In 1970, a scientific investigation team found a new virus in the blood samples from a primitive tribe called "Torkue" in New Guinea.
Some scientists think it will help to reveal the secret of immortality and they called it "Heaven Dust".
It turns out that it's not really a gift from Heaven, it opens the gate to hell instead.

After the research center in New Guinea was destroyed in an accident related to the mutant virus, they brought "Heaven Dust" to the USA, then the researches were carried out entirely by their subsidiary company StarDust.

意識が戻った瞬間、君は自分が狭い納戸にいることに気付きました。ドアの向こうから重い足音と獣のような唸り声が聞こえます。この普通な洋館のふりをした研究所には、様々なおかしい機関が設置されています。今はもうゾンビが現れる死の迷宮になりました。

周りの環境を探索して、慎重に避けるあるいは戦う事を選んで、資源を集めて、ヒントを整理して、謎を解けて、陰謀をさらけ出して、生き残ります。

ゲームのステージはパラレルワールドで、タイムラインは1970年からゲームのバックグラウンドの1998年になります。

ニューギニアの血液寄生生物「ヘヴンダスト」をきっかけに様々な事件や争いが起きました。結局、「オウムガイ国際」というバイオテク会社の子会社の「スターダスト製薬」が「ヘヴンダスト」を暗にアメリカまで持っていき、研究を続けました。研究目的は人体の代謝能力と自己回復の能力を高めて、最後には永生不死の状態に至ることです。しかし、研究中ではずっと怪物を育成してしまう悲劇を繰り返し続けました。最後に、洋館のふりをしたこの秘密研究基地が、主役ともう一人のミスティックな協力者と共に、神秘で恐ろしい表象を剥がして、このシリーズの事件も終わらせて……

だが、更に大きい陰謀と事件の根回しはもう既に進んでいます……
