Mario Party 6

Moby ID: 15812

GameCube version

A fun party game.

The Good
Mario Party 6 is a very good game. Not nearly as great as older instalments, but none-the-less, good.

The story, at the point of a sixth game, is clearly stale and has a feel of been-there-done-that. This is no exception. The story is pretty cheesy and stupid. Why can't it just be Mario and friends having a party anymore?

The gameplay is, like most of the others, fun and "exciting" in a sense. Basically, you just do what you've always done: party! And... that's all I really have to say about that.

The frame-rate is flawless. But what is to be expected from a GameCube game? It always seems that Nintendo knows how to get around those damned frame rate issues. Suck it, Sony >:D ...just kidding. The graphics are also nice. They definitely aren't one of the best on the system (looks at SSBM), but, regardless, they are good.

I don't like the music too much. I don't know. It's to... uhhhh... cheery I guess.

The Bad
Some of the mini-games are freakin' stupid. Also, why can't you play a DK any more? It can also get kind of boring sometimes. Despite these issues, I have few complaints.

The Bottom Line
Overall, if you liked the other 5, you're sure to like this one. Sure, it isn't the best around, but it still has it's moments.
