Description official description
Based on the Uma Musume media franchise, this game asks the question "What if horse races were done by human girls?" In this world, horses as animals don't exist; instead, horses are humans with horse ears and the ability to run incredibly quickly. Players take the role of a horse trainer, recruiting new horse girls and training them up. Once girls are ready, players can take them to the races where they participate in full race sequences against other horse girls; players can watch the entire race rendered in full 3D. Aside from racing, players can also take part in equestrian shows.

Easter egg: in-game word for "horse"
The Japanese character for "horse", 「馬」 ("uma"), features four strokes on the bottom representing the horse's legs. Since horses in the world of Uma Musume are bipedal, the game and its associated anime feature a custom font with a special character for horse that has two strokes on the bottom instead of four.
