Nothing to Hide

Moby ID: 161755

Description

Nothing to Hide is a self-described 'anti-stealth' game. That is, the player attempts to pass through each level while being surveilled by some number of cameras the whole way. The main challenge of the game is like a puzzle or timing task, with geometric and tempo concerns. However, another main aspect of the game is the aesthetics and backstory, which depict a dystopian post-privacy world; Nicky Case intended this to be a commentary on the present, and was influenced by the Snowden disclosures and subsequent developments. Despite this, the game isn't overly didactic; the relationships between the three named characters guide the emotional tenor of the work.
