New WebDriver Release Features 2004 Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep® Vehicles in a Realistic Racing World; Delivers Console Quality Graphics Securely Over the Internet

WildTangent Releases WebDriver 4.0, the Next-Generation Streaming Online Game Platform Based on Console Gaming Technology

February 28, 2004 - REDMOND, WA WildTangent, the leading online game publisher with more than 53 million users of its ubiquitous WebDriver, today announced the availability of WebDriver 4.0, the next-generation streaming online game platform based on console gaming technology. WebDriver 4.0 utilizes a new console gaming engine WildTangent initially released in partnership with Microsoft for its popular Xbox® Music Mixer title. Combining this console gaming engine used for Xbox with WildTangent's streaming technologies, WildTangent is now making it possible, for the first time, to deliver console quality graphics securely over the Internet in real-time to a PC.

Built on WebDriver 4.0 and developed by WildTangent, the Chrysler Group released three new online racing games: "Jeep® 4x4 Adventure," "Chrysler West Coast Rally" and "Dodge Racing -- HEMI® Edition," which feature leading-edge graphics and streaming capabilities that enable players to experience racing-like quality on their PCs that is comparable to leading gaming consoles such as PlayStation 2 and Xbox.

"By enabling the ability to stream console quality video games and retail PC games, we have been able to set a new standard for the rich graphics and animations which can now be delivered through online games," said Alex St. John, Founder and CEO of WildTangent. "With the Chrysler Group's new online video games, for example, we were able to employ WebDriver 4.0 to recreate the true design characteristics of the Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles."

By combining new graphic and delivery capabilities with the rich CAD modeling data provided by the Chrysler Group, WildTangent was able to create lifelike vehicles, over-the-top special effects and dramatic driving scenes that create a deep connection between the game player and the car brands.

"Gaming is a fun and creative way to increase brand awareness, build brand loyalty and educate consumers on vehicle attributes," said Julie Roehm, Director, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep Marketing. "As we move forward with the launch of nine new products into the marketplace, gaming not only helps to generate excitement, it also amplifies customer anticipation."

Using a keyboard, game pad or wheel, the games can be played on three different tracks: Coastline, Island Metro and Outback. To better educate consumers on the vehicle's performance capabilities, vehicles will perform their best on the track that is ideally suited to its characteristic. For example, the Jeep Wrangler 4x4 will handle best on the rugged course of the Outback.

As the race progresses, players accumulate points that they can use to upgrade their vehicles, such as turning their Chrysler PT Cruiser into the new convertible model. Points can also be used to add Mopar® accessories such as chrome tubular bumpers and grille. Game players will also be able to post their times online and challenge others to beat their score.

As new Chrysler Group vehicles are introduced they will be added to the game. Currently, the games feature the following vehicles: -- Jeep 4x4 Adventure - Wrangler, Wrangler Unlimited, Liberty, Grand Cherokee; -- Chrysler West Coast Rally - Crossfire, PT Cruiser, Pacifica, 300C; -- Dodge Racing - HEMI Edition - Ram 1500, Ram SRT-10, SRT-4, Durango and Magnum.
