Universal Interactive launches Monster Force, a new multi-player handheld game adventureGame Introduces Classic Universal Movie Monster Fans to Frank, Drac and Wolfie

PARIS, France/UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., February 19, 2002 - Universal Interactive, Inc. announced today from Vivendi Universal Games' First Annual Games Faire at the Chateau de Méry-sur-Oise that it has created an original interactive entertainment title called "Monster Force."™

The game, which stars three classic Universal movie monsters, The Frankenstein Monster, Dracula and the Wolf Man, in new incarnations as teenaged characters, Frank, Drac and Wolfie, is scheduled for release for the Game Boy® Advance in third quarter 2002.

An action-adventure title, Monster Force tells the story of the teenage monsters' heroic efforts to defeat the evil terror that has seized their homeland. Players can choose to play as Frank, Drac or Wolfie in single- or multi-player mode as they explore more than 30 creature-infested levels including the Garden Maze, the Abandoned Village and the Spooky Cemetery. Players collect power-ups, master special moves unique to each character, perform skill tests, participate in a ranking system and otherwise do serious monster battle against an army of Pumpkin Warriors.

"'Monster Force' is a fast-action game that re-imagines the best-known monsters in the history of entertainment in their teenage form for a new generation of video game players," said Jim Wilson, president of Universal Interactive. "Inspired by the enduring popularity of Universal's classic movie monsters, the game is all the fun and the fright of horror flicks shrunk to fit the palm of a player's hand."

"Monster Force" is being developed by Digital Eclipse Software, Inc., developers of Universal Interactive's award-winning 2001 release "Spyro: Season of Ice."® Further information about "Monster Force" is available at http://www.monsterforce.com/
