Description official description

In Battle Hunter, play as a warrior that battles monsters and collects treasures from dungeons. To do this the player must go into a dungeon and find the target item that must be acquired. However, monsters are also lurking around plus the boss who will pop out if the game goes to long! The player may also fight other warriors to get their items (this is useful if someone else has the target item).

The game supports up to four players.

It is interesting in parts of the game, but is also hard if you haven't played games like this a lot.

The Good
I liked that you could find items along the way and have them identified by the scientist for a fee. I also liked the ability to ask for more money if you thought his price for the item you're selling him isn't enough. I also liked the fact that you only needed one controller for multiplayer, making it just a tad easier to raise a character up to a high enough level to play the game. I liked that there was an original system in which there are cards with die faces on them that, depending on your stats and what you draw, affects the battles you have and your range of movement.

The Bad
I didn't like that in order to level up you had to pay a fee at the hospital. I also didn't like that the monsters were pretty tough, and that the the other computer generated characters always seem to be one step ahead of you. Not to mention the fact that the computer generated characters and others always seem to get better attack, defense, and/or mobility than you. I didn't particularly like the monster that comes out if you run out of die cards to draw, because it is extremely tough. Although the story is interesting, the game doesn't bring you into a full, complex story like most games like this would usually do.

The Bottom Line
The story line and concept of the game are interesting. The game could improve on the difficulty level, though.
