All the zoo is a buzz with the latest shocking crime of the serial shaver. Ace Ventura Pet Detective needs your help to save the animals in this furious "hair raising" tale. The psycho shaver must be stopped before every animal in the zoo is cropped.

Ace: As far as our hero is concerned pets are better than people. A naughty boy in a man's body. Ace is wickedly mischievous, devilish, cruder, reckless and zany!!!

Milo: He is mean and cruel and has made his fortune using every rotten, underhanded method known to man. Man is a man who believes what counts is money, money and more money; and he'll do anything to get it!!!

Angelica: She is a sweet, gawky veterinarian with a heart of gold but a clumsy technique.

Erica: She is pursued by nearly every red-blooded male who meets her, Erica is the lust object of the show. She is the smart, gorgeous zoo tour guide who loves her job but feels as though she has been thrown into a mad world surrounded by crazies.

Spike: He is Ace's pet monkey. They are inseparable friends. A fun-loving, crafty monkey who accompanies Aces on all his crazy encounters and gets him into and out of his hilarious predicaments.
