The Ultimate RPG Archives

Moby ID: 2537

DOS version

If you're serious about RPGs, you need this archive. Some of the all-time classics are included.

The Good
The games are all great, and many are no longer available individually. This reasonably-priced archive eliminates the need to hunt through eBay (or abandonware sites) to play the old greats again.

The Bad
They compiled all the manuals into one BIG book. Which isn't too bad, but it's a bit unwieldy to have to flip through. Also, the CD installation program had a tendency to crash every so often for me -- once it was pretty severe (the CD-ROM drive was no longer listed in Windows Explorer). And some of the supplimental literature included with the games is missing (such as "Thera's Awakening" with Stonekeep).

The Bottom Line
Well worth the money, even if you just like one or two in the set. A true bargain that I've never regretted purchasing.
