Army Men: Air Attack 2

aka: Army Men: Air Attack - Blade's Revenge, Army Men: Air Combat - The Elite Missions
Moby ID: 28981

Pilot plastic helicopters in a backyard war that, big surprise, emphasizes arcade action over careful strategy.

Weapons of Minature Destruction

In the familiar landscapes of flowerbeds and fenced backyards you will be blasting the nefarious Brown Army's troops and tanks with bottle rockets, cherry bombs and Roman candles and other weapons of plastic destruction.

You choose from five different choppers. Each has different capabilities and armaments. Generous controls make all quite maneuverable, so you can move up, down, forward and backward with ease. Watch out for that wind, though; it can blow you off-course.

Reel in health power-ups and ammo with your trusty winch. You can also grab items and throw or drop them on enemies, with devastating results.

When you destroy some buildings, valuable raw plastic will be left behind. Collect the plastic with your winch to unlock secret bonus levels and hidden copter capabilities.

Game Modes

The single-player adventure takes off for 20 different missions. A briefing before each mission will explain your objective along with its tactical importance for the Green Army. Expect to invade enemy bases and defend transports while managing your own ammo and health. A handy map helps you navigate the backyard terrain.

Two players can also compete in six specially designed environments. You can battle a human foe head-on or play cooperatively against computer-controlled forces.

Graphics

The cut-scenes lend plenty of personality to the rowdy bunch of soldiers with names like Captain William Blade, Felicity "Bombshell" Wannamaker and Jason "Hardcore" Larkin. As in all Army Men games (and there have been plenty!) the environments are laden with droll details, like a picnic blanket surrounded by food and beverages. Power-ups are easy to spot and thrilling explosions make enemies go out with a bang.

Army Men: Air Combat The Elite Missions lets you wage war against ruthless toys. In this action-packed combat game, a quick trigger finger will take your further than tactical smarts.
