Sombras de Guerra: La Guerra Civil Española
Description
Sombras de Guerra: La Guerra Civil Española is a real-time strategy game based in the military conflict of the past century known as the Spanish Civil War. It presents the two main factions of this event, the Nationals and the Republicans, who will be supported by three more armies, the Soviet forces (in case you're Republican) or the German Condor Legion and the Italian Fascist volunteers (in case you're a National).
In the campaign mode you count with a total of 25 missions available, which are divided between the two sides (12 for the Nationals and 13 for the Republicans). The units available in the game are more than 50 and represent military forces of various kinds. You will also count with an "hero", a personage around which the missions will evolve and who will take part in the action in the most active way.
This game intends to narrate the most notable war episodes in a chronological and historically accurate way, although it will also let you take some "licenses", such as changing the history by winning the war with the Republican army. Narrations will also include the appearance of historical cutscenes between missions, which have been directly taken from the Filmoteca Nacional. Also, notable figures such as Francisco Franco, General Mola or others will appear realistically characterized.
