Road Rash returns to our screen, but it's looking a little different this time around!

Road Rash 3D introduces gang warfare with the competitors split up into four groups: the Dewleys, the Desades, the Kaffe Boys and the Techgeists who each have their own bikes and style of music.

The previous Road Rash games used 2D sprites to depict the main characters. This time however, the bikes and riders are true 3D objects with up to 5 000 frames of animation.

Pop-up has been virtually eliminated by the use of multiple levels of detail, scaling factors and careful track design, using curves, close-in objects, and terrain to hide the introduction of data further back in the screen.

Add to this 150 kilometers of track, video sequences, battles amongst the rival bike gangs and you'll realise that Road Rash 3D really takes the ideal to a whole new level of gaming.
