Capcom vs. SNK

aka: Capcom vs. SNK: Millennium Fight 2000
Moby ID: 4156

Dreamcast version

The Vs. series just got better.

The Good
As fighters go, this has to be one of the best ever made. Just look at how much detail Capcom has put into the characters and backgrounds. The inclusion of SNK is a nice touch, especially now that Capcom have to cater for two different types of fighting styles. And of course, they do it very well.

The Bad
The fact that I'll never really get into the SNK characters as much as I would like. I've grown up with Street Fighter over the last few years, so it will be hard to try this new style. The same can be said of SNK players who aren't used to Capcom's style. At least the option of the two different styles are there, which helps to keep everyone happy.

The Bottom Line
Street Fighter and King of Fighter fans will enjoy the challenge of finding out which style is the best. And the graphics are worth fighting over, a great achievement for the Dreamcast and for the 2D genre. Very much a winner in a highly crowded circle. Long live 2D.
