Syphon Filter 2

aka: Syphon Filter 2: Conspiración Mortal
Moby ID: 4243

PlayStation version

One cool game, and it is still cool in 2006!!!!

The Good
You can do just about anything you want in Syphon Filter 2. In the beginning of the first level you are in a parachute. In gameplay!!! Not a fan of parachutes? Not to worry, Syphon Filter 2 has it covered. You control Gabriel, a guy who has more guns to use than you can shake a stick at, including tasers, pistols and shotguns.

Not a fan of guns? Once again Syphon Filter 2 has it covered. Other weapons include knives and bombs. These are just examples of some of the weapons. And there is not that much blood so it's not very gory actually. Even my dog Onion likes this game!!!

Multiplayer rules too with so many levels ranging from city rooftops to villages to hedge mazes it is awesome.

The Bad
Choppy death animations and bad physics stop this game in its tracks. When you jump over cliffs you can miss and fall to your death. Some bad textures and blurry enemies make the experience less breathtaking. The character design is less than stunning. The cutscenes are boring. The voice acting is cheap and there are some bad weapons design decisions. I expect better from 989 Studios if they make another game sequel after the 2005 Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain.

The Bottom Line
Excellent, anyone who is looking for a nice PlayStation game should definitely buy this. So if you like guns, knives and bombs, pick up a copy. And even if you don't you should still pick up a copy. Bless 989 studios for this game. Finally anyone who buys this game is in for a treat.
