AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! A Reckless Disregard for Gravity

aka: AaAaAA!!! - A Reckless Disregard for Gravity, Low Altitude
Moby ID: 44003

September 3rd, 2009 - Watertown, MA - Dejobaan Games, LLC has launched "AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! -- A Reckless Disregard for Gravity" for Windows PCs.

Indie studio Dejobaan Games has just kicked "AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! -- A Reckless Disregard for Gravity" ("Aaaaa!") out of its nest. Bringing 80 levels of BASE jumping, rude gestures, and graffiti tagging together in a PC title, the game is now available from Direct2Drive, GamersGate, Impulse, Steam, WildTangent, and from Dejobaan's own website at www.dejobaan.com/aaaaa.

The jumps you make off buildings floating above Boston, Massachusetts are all about style and timing. You perform stunts, weaving around the bustling City for points, making split-second decisions: do you snake around those girders to earn a dozen "kisses," or glide along the side of that steel super-skyscraper for massive "hugs"? Aaaaa! then throws in the spectators -- as you fall, give fans the thumbs-up and protesters the finger. And if you're hungry for a bit of civil disobedience, you can even ready the spraypaint and tag government buildings for points.

The game will also teach you how to debristle a pig.

Aaaaa! has garnered positive press over the course of its development. Thirteen1 magazine called it "...an electro-flourescent cyber world that is both gorgeous and confusing... Aaaaa! is an unabashed adrenaline frenzy that will keep you entertained for ages." Mike Rose from Indiegames.com said, "Welcome to my pre-review for Aaaaa! which, in a nutshell, goes as follows: Buy this game." Anthony Burch from Destructoid said, "It may not come as much of a surprise given the title, but AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! also possesses a tremendous amount of character... It's got personality. It's different."

To quote one of Dejobaan's fans: "This may be the single greatest game ever created."

Availability and system requirements: AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! -- A Reckless Disregard for Gravity requires Windows XP/Vista; a 1.5GHz processor; 1GB system memory; a 3D card with 128MB video memory; and Microsoft DirectX 9.0c.

Dejobaan Games, LLC is an independent developer of desktop and handheld games. Dejobaan Games press release (September 3, 2009)

WHAT?

9 FACTS 1 In Aaaaa!, you gain points by swooping past buildings and terrain as close as you can, while going as fast as you can.

2 You can score extra points giving a thumbs-up to spectators as you fall past them.

3 You can also gain points by flipping them off at just the right moment.

4 Dejobaan prototyped the initial concept in 3 days, spending much of that time cackling and smacking the player into things.

5 We're certain that the soundtrack really does change how players play a level. Fast-paced music has now been scientifically proven to make you more likely to break your bones against terrain.

6 The developers came up with the idea when our level designer sent YouTube BASE jumping videos to our programmer.

7 The term BASE in BASE Jumping stands for Building, Antenna, Span, Earth.

8 In Aaaaa!, buildings can float above the ground.

9 One of the items is a spray paint can which allows you to tag government buildings for points.

10 Free bonus fact: Eugene Andreev holds the world record for the longest free-fall parachute jump. His jump lasted over 15 miles.
