War and Peace: 1796 - 1815 is a strategy game that takes place during the Napoleonic Wars. The game features a tutorial mode and a single player mode.

The tutorial mode explains the controls and basic tactics and strategies that can be employed in the game. The single player mode allows the player to reenact some of the major battles from this time period. There's campaigns for France, England, Russia, Austria and the Ottoman Empire. Each nation has eight different battles that can be fought (except for Russia which has sixteen). To successfully complete the battles players mustn't only fight well, but also make the right political, economic and diplomatic decisions.

The game is presented fully in 3D and the player can move the camera freely around the map.
