🕹️ New release: Lunar Lander Beyond

World's Scariest Police Chases

aka: Folles Poursuites
Moby ID: 4408

PlayStation version

A mediocre, slightly dull, yet fun copper-sim

The Good
I liked WSPC's idea of using real life missions in a made up environment (to the best of my knowledge, Ashland doesn't exist, but if it does, please tell me) makes this game an exciting enough driving sim, with it's wide variety of cars (including my favourite - the bus) and a seemingly unlimited arsenal of weaponry, it's a very good game.

The Bad
I hated the way that the game's commentator didn't over-exaggerate, and by not using key phrases like "Oh my god he nearly hit that pedestrian," "He's attacking the officers," and "Oh my god!!!! He almost collided with another car!" What a pity. The other thing was the fact that the suspects can escape to easily, and the car easily sustains large amounts of damage.

The Bottom Line
A game not for the feint hearted. Get it by all means, but only if you're up to the challenge.
