Warfare
Description official description
Warfare: Im Auge des Terrors is a real-time tactics game aimed at experienced players. The story: terrorists took control over Saudi Arabia and the player uses the US army to defeat them. While the mission have the usual goals where the player needs to liberate or defend a position the game tries to spice it up with script sequences, e.g. with changing mission goals.
It also requires the use of advanced tactics, e.g. both the player and AI can hide in buildings or use smoke grenades. Like in reality every unit has certain vulnerabilities which need to shielded by other units - this means the player can't just rush in with tanks but needs to advance slowly. While the game is basically in real-time the player can use the pause button every time to issue new commands.
As in most of these games there is no base building and reinforcements arrive only after the player mastered certain goals. Surviving units also improve over time and are used in the next mission. In fact this is not the only reason why the player needs to keep the own body count low: After every mission evaluates the player's performance and rewards so-called control points which are used to buy reinforcements between missions.
