Abaddon

January 10th, 2010: Firestorm Studios is proud to announce that its first title, Abaddon, has been released. This top-down shooter is the perfect combination of strategy, fast-paced action, and replay value. It features online mutliplayer, a persistent inventory system, 3 unique game modes, a resource based leveling system, and much more. Abaddon is available on the XBox Live Marketplace under the Indie Games section for the price of 400 Microsoft Points ($5 U.S).

What makes Abaddon stand out from the other titles available on the XBox Live Marketplace? First of all, there are hundreds of different ways you are able to annihilate your enemies. As an elite fighter who has been assigned to protect the mothership Abaddon, you have the ability to buy new ships, upgrade your weapons, and install multiple special abilities such as afterburners or EMPs to aid in obliterating your foes. Alternatively, you can purchase upgrades for Abaddon's turrets making it a force to be reckoned with on its own. But don't forget to save up to repair Abaddon's hull or it's game over! This adds a strategy and experimentation element that other games in this genre sorely lack. Can you come up with the best balance to survive longer than your friends? In multiplayer, are you selfishly going to spend your money on upgrading your ship to get the most kills or are you going to work together to protect Abaddon?

Abaddon features a random spawning system, so no two game sessions will ever feel repetitious. Furthermore, Abaddon's mutliplayer game play has underwent thorough testing to ensure good balance, regardless of how many players are involved in the game. For people who don't like sitting around waiting for random players to join their game, they can start up a game and allow new players to join, or they can choose from a list of games already in progress. Lastly, with Abaddon's unique reward system, you will be playing for hours trying to get the best possible upgrades for your ship!
