First-person boxing action comes to Game Boy Advance, courtesy of your good pals at Majesco. This company has been cranking out GBA titles lately, including Earthworm Jim, Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure and Iridion 3D. Boxing Fever narrowly missed the bragging rights of being the first boxing Pak on Game Boy Advance (Midway's Ready 2 Rumble Boxing Round 2 beat them to the punch), but the two games feature very different gameplay.

Developed by Digital Fiction, Boxing Fever offers a total of ten boxers, two of which must be unlocked. The action takes place from a first-person view. Looking directly at your opponent, you must block, juke and throw different kinds of punches to come out on top. Nicely animated cartoon boxers are absolutely gargantuan on the screen, which makes them look great.

Despite the wacky look of the boxers, the actual fighting is pretty straightforward. There aren't any wild special punches or attacks, but there are many different punches to choose from. Five difficulty levels provide a challenge for players of all skill levels, and a two-player mode allows you to test your skills against a friend.

Try not to block with your face, and come out swinging!
