EA SHIPS SSX TRICKY FOR THE XBOX

SSX Tricky features incredible big air tricks including the all-new Uber Tricks. Uber Tricks are maneuvers taken from the world of motocross, BMX, skateboarding and even break dancing to create player specific trick rewards. In addition to new tricks, SSX Tricky features two new tracks, while the original eight tracks received a face-lift with redesigns and updates, totaling ten tracks.

One of the innovative new features to SSX Tricky is its release on DVD. DVD allows for extra game content on the disc including two new tracks, alterations to original tracks and the “making of” content similar to what is found on a movie DVD. The “making of” section includes exclusive behind the scenes video featurettes covering subjects from “track creation” to “celebrity voices,” giving gamers a peek into the hard work and creativity that goes into creating a hit title.

Bringing the riders to life is another key ingredient in SSX Tricky. The characters in SSX Tricky each bring their own attitude and riding style to the mountain and are brought to life by voice-over and character development work by voice actors including Hollywood celebrities. David Arquette (Scream), Lucy Liu (Charlie’s Angels) and Oliver Platt (West Wing) are just a few who contributed their vocal personalities to SSX Tricky. In addition, their real-life counterparts inspired the personalities, looks and styles of the celebrity-voiced characters.

SSX Tricky features totally revamped “trick” versions of the courses called Showoff courses. Here gamers race against the clock while performing huge tricks in an effort to win gold medals for total trick points. Improved rider artificial intelligence makes racers more competitive, while enhanced rider physics affords players more control.

Music plays a huge role in SSX Tricky. New songs and exclusive mixes from the cutting edge world of electronic breaks and beats comprise the techno soundtrack cut by such turntable all-stars as Mix Master Mike of the Beastie Boys, Aphrodite, BT, The Plump DJ’s and others. Nettwerk Records will be releasing a soundtrack CD of the music in SSX Tricky. FEATURES - All new “Garibaldi” and “Valdez” courses. Garibaldi, located in British Colombia, Canada, appears as a instantly fun “big air” first course, but in reality has even more replay-ability than any of the courses in the original SSX. Set in the Wilds of Alaska, Valdez features near vertical sections of snow that link the multitude of huge cliff drops on what promises to be the scariest, “edge-of- your-board” course yet.

• The characters are coming to life! Celebrity voice talent for riders including the famed voices of Grammy winner Macy Gray, Lucy Lui (Charlies Angels, Ally McBeal), and David Arquette (Ready To Rumble, Scream), among others. Expanded facial animation and digital diaries for each rider on the World Circuit, as well as detailed background information on each. EA Sports' SSX Tricky is truly a big-air affair, with insane circus-style stunts, near-vertical drops and no-holds-barred snowboarding action.

SSX Tricky is a sequel to the successful SSX game which originally appeared on Play Station 2. Now that the series is graduating to Nintendo GameCube, the action is more intense than ever before. Despite responsive and realistic play control, SSX Tricky thumbs its nose at reality and allows gamers to link together impossibly insane tricks over stomach-dropping gaps.

Tricky features 12 ultra-hip riders -- six all-new boarders and six seasoned vets from the original game. Pick your favorite rider then tackle one of the game's three modes: World Circuit, Show-Off (trick), and Free Ride.
